    Understanding the New Rules of the Short Sale Game: What Major Players Are Doing to Increase Activity

    Staff from the Loudoun County Assessor's office provided the latest on property assessments to members during DAAR's Lunch Matters this week. Todd Kaufman, Loudoun County's Assessor, Jennifer Sanderson, CAMA Administrator and Jim White, Supervising Appraiser, provided a snapshot of residential and commercial property assessments along details of their new cost-effective, award-winning streamlined appeals process.     DAAR has partnered with Prince William and Fredericksburg Associations to bring you 9 GRI modules in 2010, all of which are drivable without the requirement of a hotel stay. Add to that the three electives offered in Herndon and you have a schedule just for you. Perhaps this is the time to make a promise to yourself to complete your GRI.  The complete GRI schedule can be found at VAR, but here is a schedule designed with you in mind:

    Are you ready to launch your career in real estate? To obtain a real estate sales person's license in Virginia an individual must be at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate or equivalent, successfully complete a 60-hour course in the Principles and Practices of Real Estate, pass a state exam and become affiliated with a real estate broker in Virginia.

    Loudoun County's Department Housing and Community Development will discuss a number of housing opportunity programs available for your clients on Wednesday, October 28th, 10-11:30 am at DAAR.

    The special meeting will highlight properties available through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, down-payment and closing cost assistance and home improvement programs. Featured speakers include Kelly Marrocco, Project Manager, Neighborhood Stabilization Program, Loudoun County Government and Dawn Klassen, Land Acquisition Manager, Office of Capital Construction Loudoun County Government.  Registration is free.  Sign-up today.
