August Lunch Speaker Series to Focus on Historical and Cultural Conservation Districts and Zoning
July 28, 2009   comment nowThe Loudoun County Zoning Ordinance (Article 6-1800) provides for the protection of historically and culturally significant areas by the creation of Historic Site/Historic and Cultural Conservation/Historic Roadway Overlay Zoning Districts. This means that in addition to land use regulations that apply in a particular area, landowners must comply with architectural guidelines that protect the historic character of the Historical and Cultural Conservation District.
DAAR Members are invited to meet with representatives from Loudoun County's Department of Planning on Wednesday, August 5th, 12-1:30 pm for a
free Lunch Speaker Series event to learn about historic overlay zoning and regulations, compliance with architectural guidelines, resources for buyers and sellers of historic properties and historic tax credits. Featured speaker is Kate McConnell, Planner, Department of Planning, Historic & Cultural Conservation Districts. Sign-up today!
