DAAR is planning a symposium Working it out for Homeowners with banks and REALTORS® to foster a greater understanding of the mortgage options for troubled homeowners and challenges arising from complicated real property transactions such as short sales. The event takes place on Monday, July 27th, 1-3:30 pm at 20101 Academic Way, Campus Building #1, Ashburn, VA.
Working it out for Homeowners will feature Congressman Frank Wolf and a panel of experts from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the banking and real estate industries and local government who will provide insight into the status of foreclosures, foreclosure prevention assistance, modifying loans to affordable terms, negotiating short sale transactions and barriers to communication between banks, REALTORS® and property owners.
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in round-table discussions with speakers following the panel discussion. For more information, please contact Christine Windle, Director, Government Affairs and Communications, at cwindle@dullesarea.com.
