    SentriLock Update Codes Policy Clarification

    There has been some recent confusion over the number of times an agent can update their SentriCard lockbox key without running it through the card reader.  DAAR has received confirmation from NVAR that their policy is to allow no more than two updates in a row away from the card reader (i.e. at a lockbox or by calling SentriLock) and no more than three total in a month.

    As a reminder, DAAR's policy is to allow ActiveKEY users no more than two consecutive manual update codes.  After that, the key must update directly with the system (either wirelessly or through a computer using the USB connector that was provided with the key) before another manual update code can be requested.  However, since the ActiveKEY updates automatically as long as it can communicate with any cell tower on any network, you may never need to call in for a manual update code.
