Once again, DAAR's REALTOR® and Affiliate members have demonstrated their generosity at the Annual Charity Auction and Dinner to benefit local shelter-related charities. We're still waiting to subtract all the costs, but preliminary results put the net proceeds over $30,000 again this year.
As a reminder, DAAR was able to donate $32,000 from the proceeds of last year's auction, so this year's event looks to be very comparable despite the economy.
Proceeds from this year's auction will benefit:
- Good Shepherd Alliance
- Loudoun Abused Womens' Shelter
- Loudoun Cares
- Loudoun Families for Children
- Rebuilding Together/Christmas in April
- VoA Emergency Homeless Shelter
- VoA Transitional Housing Shelter
and will be distributed at a check presentation reception at the new DAAR office on Wednesday, January 6, 2010.

In today's economy, this is an incredible accomplishment! I am so proud to call DAAR my primary Association. Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard on this, especially Sue Puleo!
