2009 Honor Society Applications Deadline Extended

Word is getting out about the changes to the DAAR Honor Society. The new form is easier to complete, and applicants can now qualify even if they meet the minimum point requirements in only two out of three areas thanks to a new tiered qualification structure. Our response rate has been comparable to last year, but we want to make sure everyone has a chance to hear about the changes. Therefore, the Awards Committee has decided to extend the deadline for submitting your Honor Society Application to Friday, February 19th.

If you had at least $2M in production in 2010 and have done any CE courses in the last year, attended any DAAR events, or been at all involved in your community or charitable organizations, you should apply.

DAAR recognized several REALTORS® who rose to the top of their industry in 2008 terms of, community service, education, association involvement and met minimum requirements in sales. The following REALTORS® celebrated their achievements at the 2008 DAAR Honor Society Induction Reception on March 26th at the Brambleton Welcome Center in Ashburn, VA

Clarification: $2M vs $3M Honor Society Production Requirement

It has been brought to DAAR's attention that there has been some confusion over the production volume requirements to qualify for the 2008 Honor Society. Last year, the DAAR Board of Directors (BoD) voted to increase the minimum volume requirement to $3M in 2008. A form stating this requirement was posted to the DAAR website. However, a different version of the same form listing the minimum volume requirement at $2M was also distributed. Given the confusion and the sharper-than-expected downturn in the housing market, the BoD has decided to leave the minimum volume requirement at $2M and extend the deadline for submission until Friday, March 13th.
