Did you know that DAAR's website now offers links to your company's email and website addresses AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE? If you have not provided the email and web addresses you would like us to use for this purpose, you can get more out of your Affiliate membership.

Did you know that Affiliate members can put tri-fold brochures (and IMPs can leave 8.5x11" brochures) in the DAAR classroom AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE? If you have not provided us with these marketing materials, you can get more out of your Affiliate membership.

DAAR has the Cure for those Wintertime Blues

Just when you're starting to see flashes of the movie "The Shining", DAAR has a cure for those wintertime blues. DAAR members can come by the DAAR office and pick up FREE passes to this weekend's Capital Home & Garden Show at the Dulles Expo Center. Get a taste of spring by touring dream garden designs, start planning your spring projects and shop for the latest products for remodeling, gardening, or decorating.

2009 Honor Society Applications Deadline Extended

Word is getting out about the changes to the DAAR Honor Society. The new form is easier to complete, and applicants can now qualify even if they meet the minimum point requirements in only two out of three areas thanks to a new tiered qualification structure. Our response rate has been comparable to last year, but we want to make sure everyone has a chance to hear about the changes. Therefore, the Awards Committee has decided to extend the deadline for submitting your Honor Society Application to Friday, February 19th.

If you had at least $2M in production in 2010 and have done any CE courses in the last year, attended any DAAR events, or been at all involved in your community or charitable organizations, you should apply.

The networking opportunities are invaluable, the insight you gain into this industry is amazing. As a bonus, the peers serving on the committee with you become friends, mentors and colleagues to call on for help, ideas or information.

Reminder: Turn back your clocks and change your batteries

Saturday is not only Halloween. It's also the end of Daylight Savings Time. Don't forget to turn back your clocks one hour before you go to bed Saturday night. The time change is also a good time to change the batteries in smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, etc.

Bye-bye WIN Report

This is the last issue of the Weekly Internal News (aka WIN) Report. Although the WIN Report has been a great source of information for our members, we've found that many members either disregard the report altogether or put off reading it "until they have more time". As a result, members often miss the information they really want and need to know. But the end of the WIN Report doesn't mean the end of communication.
