If you're a broker, there's an easy way to check whether your agents have paid their dues.  Click on "Pay my dues" on the left side of the website; enter your ID and password; click on "Check Your Agent's Balances" under "Personal Services;" and click on the office(s) you oversee.  The names of agents in your office that have not paid their dues will show up on-screen.

DAAR recognizes that many members may need a little help with their cash flow these days, so we've decided to split up the dues billing. In the next day or so you should be receiving your annual dues bill in the mail.  Hopefully the first thing you'll notice is the savings - $393 instead of $560.

DAAR 2009 dues statements will be sent by mail next week and will be due by Monday, December 1st, 2008.  In an effort to make the chore of paying dues more budget friendly, we are pleased to announce a no-interest bi-annual payment structure.  By December 1st, NAR, VAR and ½ of DAAR dues in the amount of $393 are due.  In June, DAAR will bill the second payment of $335 which includes one year of DAAR dues.  Your payment will be slightly higher this year only in order to offset the new bi-annual payment structure.  For future years, your first payment in December will be toward NAR and VAR dues and the second payment in June, for DAAR dues only.  We hope this will make the chore of paying dues a little more pleasant. For years you have expressed concerns over the dues payment coming due around the holiday season and during the slow real estate market.  The BOD is pleased to announce a new dues structure to help you with your payments.  Effective December 1, subject to a bylaw revision, your dues payment will now be divided into two payments.  In December you will pay your NAR and VAR dues, this year in the amount of $225 and 1/2 of your DAAR dues, bringing your payment to $393 due December 1.  Then in June you will be billed for 1 years DAAR dues.  Your total payment for 2009 will be a little higher, but this is just to get us into the offset cycle.  In the future your December billing will be NAR and VAR only and in June, DAAR only.  We hope this will make the chore of paying dues a little more pleasant. Costs always rise, expenses never seem to go down.  Your Association is faced with that problem just like we all are in our everyday lives.  We understand the state of the economy and want to help out as best we can.  Your DAAR Staff is looking into possible dues options to help make the paying of dues a little less painful in these tough times and we would love your comments  Please post a comment on the website in response to our ideas.  We are looking forward to hearing from you.

1. Subject to a revision of the bylaws, would it be easier for you if we billed you for the NAR and VAR portions of your dues in December and the DAAR portion of your dues in June.  It would approximate paying your dues 40/60.  Of course the first time implemented we would need to charge you for 6 months DAAR dues in December in order to get on track.

2. Would it be helpful if we provided an automatic credit card charge, or account debit for your annual dues?  We would have you authorize the charge one time, and send you a reminder that your account would be charged.  Much the same as your MLS fees are paid.
